Extension Fee for Service Prescriptions
This section contains information for British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan pharmacies.
In certain provinces, a patient-focused service (PFS) prescription can be billed to government plans when a prescription is extended. In these provinces, Nexxsys automatically bills the PFS prescription.
Note: If cancelling an extended prescription, is it the pharmacy's responsibility to also cancel the PFS prescription.
Select your province from the dropdowns below to learn more information.
A separate PFS is not required in British Columbia, but an intervention code must be added to the prescription. Nexxsys will automatically add the NL bill code to the extended prescription in the Third Party tab.
Nexxsys will automatically bill a PFS prescription to the appropriate government plan based on the Service Type selected in the Extend Form window.
